? New User MLB Betting Promos

?? Fanatics Sportsbook | Get up to $1,000 in Bonus Bets | Exclusive Link |
We’ve mainly chosen generous bonuses where you get multiple bonus bets with a small deposit. Given the volatile nature of the MLB, we find these promotions to be the most user-friendly.
Bet $5 Get $150 – FanDuel Sportsbook
- Sign Up Time: 2 minutes
- Minimum Deposit: $5
- Special Rules: None
FanDuel has a simple welcome bonus. You can go through the sign up process in just a couple of minutes. As the minimum deposit is very low, this is a good bonus if you’re in a hurry.
To claim the bonus, you need to deposit $5 or more. After you’ve deposited $5 you will instantly receive $150 in bonus bets. It does not depend whether your first bet wins or loses.
These bonus bets can be used on any FanDuel market, but we assume that you want to use them on baseball. Compared to other MLB sportsbook promos, the positive is that you can split the FanDuel bonus bets any way you like. So if you want to bet $15 on one game, and $65 on another game, it’s completely up to you.
As with all bonus bets, you will only retain your winnings from these credits, instead of the stake. So if you bet $50 in bonus bets on +100 odds and win, you will receive $50 in winnings, but not your $50 stake.
Bet $5 Get $150 if Your Bet Wins – DraftKings Sportsbook
- Sign Up Time: 5 minutes
- Minimum Deposit: 5
- Special Rules: First Bet Needs to Win, Odds Need to be -200 or greater
DraftKings MLB promo is very similar to FanDuel’s with one big difference. At DraftKings Sportsbook, your first bet needs to win. However, to lessen the risk, you can choose a game with very short odds. There is a limit of not choosing a favorite with odds smaller than -200, but there are plenty of MLB favorites that are likely to win priced between -175 and -200 every day.
One advantage with DraftKings bonus is what happens after you’ve claimed your bonus. DraftKings features many baseball odds boosts during the MLB season. Therefore, when you have your bonus bets, you can get better odds for some MLB games. If you are someone who likes to bet on baseball often, this promo could be the right choice for you.
Bet $5 Get $100 – Hard Rock Bet
- Sign Up Time: 10 minutes
- Minimum Deposit: $10
- Special Rules: Notice minimum deposit is higher than minimum bet
Hard Rock Bet promo is also very similar to FanDuel and DraftKings. However, it’s a bit smaller and little bit more strict. This is why we don’t like it quite as much as the two MLB betting promos above.
First of all, even though the Hard Rock Bet welcome bonus states bet $5 get $100, you actually need to deposit $10. This means that you will end double the money. However, this offer still gives you $90 more to bet with.
The second fact that we don’t quite like is that the bonus bets at Hard Rock are split into 5 x $20 bets. This means that you can’t divide them exactly as you would like. Still, if you’re looking to bet a lot on the MLB we recommend you grab this promo.
Up to $1,500 if Your First Bet Loses – BetMGM Sportsbook
- Sign Up Time: 3 minutes
- Minimum Deposit: $10
- Special Rules: Only applies when your first bet loses
- Special Rules: Remember to use code FINDERSPORTS
The BetMGM Sportsbook promo is very different from the offers detailed above. First of all, it only activates when your first bet loses. If your first bet wins, nothing happens and you get no bonus.
So why are we promoting a bonus like this? We find it a good opportunity to get two chances, especially if you’re a big bettor. With this offer, you can have the safety of mind that you will get your money back in bonus bets even if your first bet loses. As this bonus is up to $1,500 it’s also a lot bigger than the other bonuses.
As with other MLB betting promos, you will get the bonus amount in bets. Therefore, before you can cash out, you need to place a wager equalling your first wager. If that bet loses, you lose everything. If it wins, you can cash out or keep playing.
Up to $1,000 in Bonus Bets – Fanatics Sportsbook
- Sign Up Time: 5 minutes
- Minimum Deposit: $20
- Special Rules: Only applies when your first bet loses
The Fanatics Sportsbook bonus is very similar to BetMGM sportsbook. However, there are two key differences that in our opinion make it worse.
First of all, you need to deposit at least $20, compared to BetMGM’s $10. If you’re a big bettor, this shouldn’t be a problem. However, if you’re someone who wants to make a small deposit, we suggest you choose another MLB sportsbook promo.
The second difference is the smaller bonus amount. $1,000 is a lot of money for us, but if you’re a big bettor, that extra $500 might make all the difference.
? MLB Betting Promos – Explained
You can claim various types of bonuses when you start playing at MLB betting sites. Below, we’ve introduced the most common types in more detail.
Bonus Bets
Sportsbooks give you bonus bets to test out their user interface. These kind of mlb promos are usually small, and require minimal deposit. Usually the lowest minimum deposit is required for bet & get promos. With deposit match bonus bets, the online sportsbooks will match your first deposit with a bonus bet of the same size. Qualifying bet settlement must usually happen within 7 days to eligible for the bonus.
First Bet Safety
First bet safery is one of the most common legal sports betting bonus offers in the US. If your first baseball bet loses, the sports betting site will give it back in site credit, or a matching bonus bet. You must then bet through the amount a set number of times to satisfy wagering requirements. In rare cases, the loss is compensated in cash. Check T&C for details.
First Deposit Bonuses
Deposit match bonuses match your initial deposit up to a certain percentage – always clearly stated in the bonus offer like: “We’ll match your deposit 200% up to $100!”. Effectively this means that when you deposit $50, you’ll get $150 to bet with. It’s a great deal. The most common deposit bonus is a 100% deposit match.
? MLB Odds – How to Bet Online on MLB Games
With so many games in an MLB season, the demand for up-to-date odds is high. But for novice bettors, understanding the odds and how to place a bet might be intimidating. In this MLB betting guide, we present a simple explanation of how to bet on baseball and spot the most competitive odds.
You might think most people bet on who will win or lose Major League Baseball games, but many punters take advantage of alternative odds at the sportsbooks, such as the margin of victory (known as the runline) or the total number of runs scored by both teams.
Read on to find out more, sign up with one of our recommended betting sites to take advantage of the welcome offer, then place your first bets.
MLB Moneyline Odds
The easiest betting market to understand is simply backing which team you think will win. The amount of profit you make or lose is dependent on the odds offered by your sportsbook. The oddsmakers spend a lot of time researching the two teams, looking at recent form, head-to-head-stats, player injuries, trades, and so forth to determine who is most likely to win. As a result, you get shorter odds on the favorites and longer odds for the underdog.
In baseball, just as in other sports, these odds are presented in the moneyline format. The favorite is shown as a negative number, and this figure is the amount you must bet to win a $100 profit. Meanwhile, the underdog is shown with a positive number, and this is the amount of profit you make if you bet $100.
Let’s take an MLB example. You wish to bet on the Red Sox against the Orioles. The Red Sox are strong favorites, so you might see a moneyline like this:
- Red Sox -205
- Orioles +450
These odds show just how much the sportsbook believes the Boston side will win. If you back them with a $205 bet, you will win $100. Alternatively, if you feel the Orioles have a chance, bet $100, and you could make a $450 profit. You don’t have to wager the full amount on your chosen sports betting app, but can bet and win a proportion of the odds.
Runline Betting
The runline is the MLB version of the point spread (just as the puck line is the NHL term). The spread is a handicap system whereby the sportsbook determines how many runs it thinks a team will win by. Baseball is relatively low-scoring, so the runline will often be 1.5.
Point spread bets are popular because you can find opportunities to make a decent profit even if the main moneyline bets are not attractive.
You will get odds on how likely it is for the favorite team to win by a margin over that 1.5 run spread, which means at least two runs. Our example might look like this: Red Sox at -110 on a -1.5 spread, meaning if you bet $110 and they win by two or more runs, you make $100. Check out how +1.5 spread works for more details.
Alternatively, you can cover the spread and back the Orioles at -110 on a +1.5 spread. In this case, you will bet $110 and win $100 if the Red Sox win by fewer than two runs or if the Orioles pull off a shock victory. If you want to find more about different odds, you can check what what does a +200 money line mean.
Over/Under MLB Odds
Also known as the totals bet, the over/under in MLB is when you forecast whether the total number of runs in a game is over or under the line set by the sportsbook.
When setting the line, the sportsbook takes various factors into account. For instance, some ballparks are harder to score in, while the players in the team for your chosen game will also impact the line.
For example, the line might be set at 7.5 runs, with the over/under odds at -110, so that to win $100 (or part thereof) you must place a $110 wager.
You will find over/under or totals bets in other sports, but the line will change. In basketball, it may be something like 195, reflecting the high number of points scored in a game. In soccer, however, it could be as low as 1.5.
